GamesTown 2010 Celebrity Judges Panel
After the Viewers’ Choice Votes were cast, the GamesTown 2010 judges had the tough task of selecting the top three B.C. communities. The judges selected the winners from the ten finalists, awarding the coveted GamesTown 2010 title and the gold, silver and bronze prizes of $100,000, $50,000 and $25,000 respectively.

Nancy Greene's ski racing career peaked in 1967 and 1968 when she won gold and silver medals at the Grenoble Olympics and the overall World Cup title both years. - More

“The actions, reactions and downright passion shown by all these wonderful communities has inspired not only myself but obviously the communities themselves. Quite literally they all won. And so therefore does the rest of BC.”

Steve Podborski grew up skiing on the slopes of Southern Ontario. At 16 he was named to the National Alpine Ski Team and surprisingly in his first race in Whistler, B.C. he brought home Silver. The following year the 17 year old was promoted to the World Cup where he raced for a decade. - More
Simon Whitfield
Simon Whitfield

A twenty-three year veteran to triathlon, Simon Whitfield entered his first race at the age of 11 and has been competing seriously since he was 15. Born in Kingston, Ontario, Simon now calls Victoria his home and training ground.

At the inaugural Olympic Triathlon event at the 2000 Olympic Games, Simon made history by becoming the first Olympic Triathlon Champion. Since then, he has won Olympic Silver in 2008 with an amazing come-from-behind strategy, Commonwealth Gold in 2002, and has been on numerous World Cup podiums. - More
Dr. Art Hister
Dr. Art Hister

Dr. Art Hister graduated from McGill University in 1970.

He came to Vancouver in 1971, was the first full-time doctor at the Pine Free Clinic, then worked in private practice for 15 years, and became a full-time “media doctor” in 1991.

Dr. Hister is a daily health analyst on Global TV (BC) Morning News, Global TV Weekend News and Global TV Noon News, he is a daily contributor to CKNW Radio’s Morning News Show as well as a weekly health analyst on Up All Night on the BBC in the UK. - More
